Training for Trainers and Change Agents

Organizations have accepted that change is needed. The next thing they need is a change agent. Individuals are often selected to fill this role because of their history of effectiveness in the organization. This is when the problem begins. Change agent is not seen as a role for which people need to be trained. Shifting culture is not like improving reliability 2%. Change agents need training. Change agents need to understand culture and the dangers associated with a changing culture. Change agents often needlessly jeopardize their health, personal lives, and sanity even when they are successful in changing organizations.
